Privacy Policy

Doghop takes your privacy seriously. This privacy notice tells you what to expect when Doghop (Data Controller) collects your information. It applies to:

Visitors to doghop.co.uk

When someone visits www.doghop.co.uk we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site, what browser they are using, when they come to the site, how many pages they visit and for how long and so forth. This information is processed in a way that anonymises all site visitors and neither Google nor Doghop makes any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website in this way. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking (across all websites) at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Use of cookies

We use cookies – and tools that use cookies – to operate our website and to pursue the legitimate interest of better understanding those who use our website. In order to optimise and simplify the experience, we use cookies. Cookies are small text files containing information about your browsing session (which pages you visited and when, for example) which are stored in your browser directory.

Each cookie has a specific function. Some cookies may be essential to the working of the website (the cookie that stores information about whether you have previously opted-in or opted-out of receiving cookies, for example). Most of the time, in our case, they either record anonymous details of your visit or help you by remembering your details so it is quicker for you to download our content or contact us.

We do not store personally identifiable information in the cookies we create. All data collected using a cookie will be anonymous and will not hold specific knowledge of who the visitor is.

These are the cookies we use:

  • Google Analytics – These cookies are used to collect information about how visitors use our website. We use the information to compile reports and to help us improve the website. The cookies collect information in an anonymous form, including the number of visitors, where visitors have come to the website from, the pages they visited or similar information. Read Google’s overview of privacy and safeguarding data. To opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites, visit http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Typekit by Adobe – We use Typekit (from Adobe) to enhance website typography. Adobe use cookies within Typekit to track usage statistics. For more information, visit Adobe’s Cookie Policy.
  • HubSpot – Collects personal identifying information by using javascript and cookies. It helps us analyse how visitors use the site and it helps users by remembering their details when they use forms so it is quicker and easier to contact us or download documents (case studies, white papers etc). HubSpot’s products help us to identify returning website visitors and analyse email campaigns and nurture contacts into prospects and customers. Anonymous visitor tracking information may be shared with other HubSpot customers. For more information about HubSpot cookies, please visit legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy.

How do I change my cookie settings?

Most web browsers are set by default to accept cookies. If you have visited the website and did not want cookies to be set, you can use the setting in your browser to delete them. You can change your browser settings or use an add-on program to reject cookies in future.

We are committed to complying with the recent GDPR legislation as detailed on the ICO website. It makes sense for everyone to be honest and clear about privacy. You can find out more about managing and deleting cookies from www.aboutcookies.org.

We provide control options for all cookies on our website unless they are essential for its operation. Where some optional cookies are deactivated the user experience may be degraded.

Email updates and communications

We use third-party providers, Hubspot and Mailchimp, to build, schedule and to deliver our emails. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies including clear gifs to help us monitor and improve our marketing and communications.

Social media

We use Hubspot and Buffer to schedule and publish social media posts. It gives us tracking of link clicks that helps us understand what content is of most interest to users and most effective at driving new engagement.
